HPS teachers use SMART Boards. A SMART Board is an interactive touch-sensitive whiteboard that can be used to collaborate and communicate with students in the classroom, with faculty or staff in conference rooms, with colleagues over the Internet, or just about anywhere that has electricity and a computer available. SMART Boards work seamlessly with SMART Notebook software, which is the go-to application for creating and managing lesson content for student touchscreen interaction. For more info, CLICK HERE

Gaggle is a student email monitoring and filtering service. Gaggle blocks spam emails and filters out malicious and unwanted email content before it finds its way to a students inbox. Gaggle is especially useful in isolating internal cyberbullying and student self-endangerment or abuse. Once the Gaggle system flags such criteria, the email message is then passed on to an actual human Gaggle employee for review. If the Gaggle employee feels that a student may be in a dangerous situation, the employee then calls, text and emails selected HPS emergency contacts. For more info, CLICK HERE
