wrinkle in time cast

On November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, the Hart High School Drama Club will bring to life the classic story, A Wrinkle in Time, in the Hart Middle School auditorium. The production will mark the debut of the new director, Cindy Beth Davis-Dykema who has been directing for 22 years at the play house theater in White Lake. A Wrinkle In Time was chosen as this year's production because it’s described as a classic piece of literature that really captures the essence of love, courage, and the struggle against darkness. When asked what Cindy Beth looked forward to the most with the new cast, she said, “In this show, there are lots of opportunities for roles and creative movement. So I’m excited to see how these students make these characters their own and show emotion from each one!”

Students have been working hard to make this show memorable for their audiences and are excited to share their talent with the community. Freshman Asher Zost expresses his own excitement by stating, “I'm just excited to experience the play, be on stage, and be all dressed up in costume with all of our props. Currently, I’ve really liked hanging out with everyone and going through our rough draft of the play.”

The show follows Meg Murry, her little brother Charles Wallace, and a new friend, Calvin O’Keefe, as they travel through time with Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which to find Meg's Father. Together, they show love and compassion as they overcome forces of darkness and evil.

The main cast consists of Olivia Debrot as Meg, Carson Jensen as Charles Wallace, Asher Zost as Calvin, Faith Vander Vlucht as Mrs. Whatsit, Beverly Wagner as Mrs. Who, and Anaya Vander Zwaag as Mrs. Which. The shows are on the 22nd and 23rd, starting at 7 p.m., and the 24th show starting at 2 p.m.

Tickets cost $5 per student and $10 per adult and can be purchased online or in front of the auditorium. This fabulous performance is a show the community will not want to miss!
