Interview

This school year, the HHS Media class has focused on different aspects of multimedia, including taking pictures, recording interviews, producing their very own broadcasts, as well as writing various news articles. The class is led by Mrs. Devries and focuses on different tasks that push students to improve their writing, social, and communication skills. Junior Miguel Escamilla, who has taken the class since it was first created last year, discusses what he enjoys about the class: “I think the class has a good atmosphere and is something good to have if you want to go into journalism.” The class recently wrapped up their last broadcast, which revolved around a sentimental story by Ty Schlukebir who recognized and honored Hart’s late principal Mr. Troy Moran at his last home football game as a senior.

Ty was the first student to partake in a recorded conversation on set, and the broadcast was shared with the student body at their first Gratitude Gathering hosted by the Student Leadership class the day before Thanksgiving break.
